IU Conferences delivers comprehensive meeting planning services to the faculty and staff of Indiana University, and to clients world-wide. We operate on a model of “complementarity of roles” whereby you supply the content expertise and we provide the planning expertise.
We collaborate with you and become an active member of the conference planning team. We help identify the logistical implications of your event; develop a timeline; project and monitor anticipated expenses and income; design a program format; reserve suitable venues; recommend a publicity strategy; and supply a comprehensive registration process. We can establish individual accounts which handle all income and disbursements, and deliver a single, final statement accompanied by appropriate documentation.
Our expertise is based on over sixty years of experience creating conferences that are effective, seamless and successful. Our services are provided by a highly experienced staff of senior conference managers supported by equally capable staff of administrative personnel.
Additionally, we have built relationships with service providers throughout the University community, the State of Indiana, across the US and around the world. We call forth those resources on your behalf.Read more about Conference Management
Registration and Revenue Collection
IU Conferences provides registration and revenue collection through the Office of Conference & Event Registration Services (OCERS) with secure on-line software, disciplined procedures and knowledgeable personnel. The procedures and policies of this office have been designed to provide clients within and outside of the Indiana University community with the information needed to manage programs, while removing the responsibility of physically handling revenues and the liabilities associated with doing so. We process the revenues; you process the information.
OCERS was established and is supported by the Office of the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and the Office of the Treasurer and operates under the August 18, 2011 directive issued by Vice President Theobald.
